Glide: Watch Mouse & Touchpad

Glide turns your Wear OS watch into a Bluetooth touchpad. Slide a finger across the screen and the pointer moves on your computer; turn the bezel or crown and the page scrolls. The watch pairs straight with your PC or laptop as a mouse and keyboard, so there is no phone app, no software on the computer and no dongle.

THE TOUCHPAD

- One finger moves the pointer, with acceleration: a quick flick crosses the screen, a slow drag lands on a small button

- Tap to left-click

- Two-finger tap, or hold and let go, to right-click

- Hold, then move, to drag with the button held down

- The bezel or crown is the scroll wheel, right inside the touchpad. Set it to scroll up and down or sideways

- A sideways swipe moves the pointer and never closes the touchpad. You leave with Done or the back button

SLIDES

Tap the right half for the next slide and the left half for the previous one, or turn the bezel: one step, one slide. Glide sends the arrow keys, which most slide programs and PDF viewers use.

MEDIA

Tap the centre to play or pause, tap a side for the next or previous track, turn the bezel to change the volume one step at a time, and hold to mute. A short vibration confirms every press.

PAIR ONCE, THEN JUST OPEN IT

Open Pair new on the watch, then add the watch in your computer's Bluetooth settings, the same way you would add a mouse. After that, Glide connects to the last computer by itself when you open it. Paired with more than one computer or TV? Pick one from the list.

If this watch was paired with your computer before, for example by another app, remove it in the computer's Bluetooth settings and pair again. The computer keeps what it learned about the watch the first time.

WORKS WITH

A computer, or a TV or TV box, that accepts a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. Tested with Windows on a Galaxy Watch6.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Glide has no internet permission. It sends pointer movements and key presses to your computer and nothing else: no account, no ads, no analytics.

GOOD TO KNOW

- Needs Wear OS 3 or newer and a watch whose Bluetooth allows mouse and keyboard mode.

- There is no air-mouse mode: the pointer moves when you touch the screen, not when you move your arm.

- The app's labels are in English.
