ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE API — PURPOSE & DATA USE

App Lock uses the Android AccessibilityService API to detect when you open an app you have chosen to lock and display the App Lock screen before allowing access.

While app protection is enabled, the service accesses the package name of the foreground app to identify whether it is on your locked-app list. This detection also works while App Lock is running in the background.

App Lock does not use this API to read screen content, typed text, messages, or passwords. Foreground app information is processed locally on your device and is not retained as an activity history or transmitted to us or third parties.

Accessibility access is enabled by you through Android settings after you review the separate in-app disclosure and provide consent. You can disable the service at any time through Android settings. Disabling it may prevent the app-locking feature from working.

PHOTO VAULT & GALLERY LOCK

Keep selected personal images in the photo vault to limit unwanted viewing. You can also lock your gallery app to add protection when someone else uses your phone.

NOTIFICATION PRIVACY

Hide notifications from locked apps to help prevent others from seeing private information. Notification access is used to identify the app that sent a notification and apply your selected notification-protection settings.

Notification information is handled locally on your device. App Lock does not collect, store, or share notification content with us or third parties.

ADDITIONAL PERMISSIONS

Display Over Other Apps

This permission allows App Lock to show its lock screen over selected protected apps. It is used to display the lock screen and does not read or record screen content.

Background Pop-Up Windows

On some devices, an additional background pop-up permission is required so App Lock can display its lock screen when you open a protected app while App Lock is running in the background. This permission is used only to display the lock screen.
