Flash Translator: Documents

Flash Translator translates everything: from typed text, photos and dictated phrases to PDF and Word documents, right on your phone. What makes its document translation special is that the translator keeps the original layout of your documents: tables, columns and design. This matters for contracts, certificates and bank statements: clauses, amounts and details stay where they are in the original, so you can check the translation against it line by line.

MAIN FEATURES OF THE APP:

1. TRANSLATE DOCUMENTS RIGHT ON YOUR PHONE

A contract, a certificate or a manual lands on your phone, and there is no computer nearby. Open the file in Flash Translator, choose a language, and the app makes an exact copy of the document in your language. PDF, Word (DOCX) and TXT files are supported, and in a PDF you can pick the pages you need. Save the finished file to your phone or share it straight from the app.

2. FRIENDLY VOICE INPUT

When you translate on the go, there is often no time to type. Dictate the phrase in your own language: if you pause to gather your thoughts, voice input will wait and won't cut the phrase off mid-word.

3. TRANSLATE TEXT FROM IMAGES AND PHOTOS

Take a photo of a menu, a notice or a letter, or pick an image from your gallery, and the app recognizes the text and translates it. If you need only part of the text, select it in the photo.

4. HOW THE TRANSLATOR WORKS

For every word the app shows its part of speech and an example with a translation, and for a phrase a short note on where and how it is said. If the translation does not fit the situation, the note shows it and you can pick another variant that fits the context. You can listen to any translation.

5. YOUR OWN WORDS AND MINI LESSONS

Star a word while translating, and it goes into your practice. Find starred words easily by the date you translated them and review them in short tests. If you are just starting a foreign language, there are themed mini lessons: six chapters and thirty expressions, from your first hello to meeting friends.

After you sign in with Google, you get free translations every day. Watch an ad to get more translations or a photo translation. A monthly or yearly subscription gives you translations without a daily limit, photos, long texts, documents and learning without ads. You can also translate a single document without a subscription as a one-time purchase. All prices are in the app under Prices. Cancel the subscription anytime in Google Play.
