FinEst Smart Mobility

Application is designed to provide a service for guiding heavy good vehicles to the port (Tallinn/Estonia and Helsinki/Finland) just-in-time for them to get into specific ferry departure. The system is supposed to deliver heavy good drivers (via mobile phone) a time-frame in which the journey to harbor area for certain departure should begin. Time-frame is based on driver’s real-time location and traffic information which enables driver to adjust his/her driving speed as needed and eliminates unnecessary waiting in the harbor.

Arrival of the drivers is allocated in a way that drivers who joined the system will not arrive simultaneously.

Service is developed in the cooperation with the ports and ferry operators.
