Practice pulse, subdivision, swing and deliberate note placement with Time Monster.
Start with a steady click, load a ready-made exercise, or build your own sequence. The home screen shows the current pattern as the routine changes, with beat lights that follow playback.
SHAPE YOUR CLICK
• Tap each beat to cycle through accent, normal and off.
• Use distinct click sounds for beats, eighth notes and sixteenth-note subdivisions.
• Adjust tempo, volume, swing and microtiming during playback.
• Move individual events up to 30 milliseconds earlier or later.
• Increase swing from straight eighth notes by delaying the second note.
BUILD YOUR PRACTICE
• Choose from 20 built-in exercises, from steady pulse to sparse cues and timing comparisons.
• Set repeating cycles of audible and silent bars, such as four bars on and one bar off.
• Create patterns and multistep sequences, choose how many bars each step lasts, and save your own exercises.
• Quickly load routines from the USER SEQUENCE menu.
PRACTICE WITH CONTEXT
Read the included research notes for the ideas behind the exercises and links to timing studies. The exercises are practice tools; their specific training benefits have not been established in controlled trials.
Your routines and settings are stored on your device. No account, microphone recording or subscription is required. Use a comfortable volume; Bluetooth output can add delay.
When available, the home screen includes Aaron Walker's concert notices with optional event links. There is no third-party advertising network.
