Público Multitud Sourcing Mobile App para la Prevención del Dengue y la conciencia

With the sharp rise in dengue cases recently, four Electronic Engineering undergraduate students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia comprising of Mr. Yong Bang Xiang, Mr. Jason Lim Ji Chen, Mr. Tan Ru Dei, Mr. Chin Linn Kern are supervised by Dr. Yeong Che Fai who innovate dengue reporting and monitoring process by coming up with a mobile app named We Alert which allows users to report dengue cases quickly and automatically alerts other users in neighbourhood of the reported dengue case. The data of reported cases is stored in cloud to be analyzed with the mobile app predictive analysis feature which predicts the probability of dengue outbreaks in an area. This allows users to monitor areas facing risks of dengue outbreaks. The mobile app is aimed to increase the community awareness to immediately take prevention measures such as gotong-royong, setting up mosquito nets, fogging, etc.
