Who is Murugan?

⇒ Muruga rides a peacock and wields a bow in battle. The lance called Vel in Tamil is a weapon closely associated with him.

⇒ He is found as a primary deity in temples wherever communities of the Tamil people live worldwide, particularly in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Mauritius, Singapore and south Africa.
