LocaText is a free simple app that shares our current location with our family and friends via SMS. It is especially useful when we want to tell them urgently about our location while the internet speed is throttled.

To use LocaText, be sure to turn on your phone GPS, and add the phone numbers to which you want to send your location info in the future. Now, even without* mobile network or wifi connection, the app can still estimate your location from the GPS. The coordinates will be recorded and sent to your closed ones via SMS when you tap "Send Location Info". This could save you!!

*When mobile network or wifi connection is available and stable, the detected location info will be more accurate. To use GPS only, be sure to be in an outdoor environment.

I am a total beginner in app creation. But after reading my friend's Facebook post:" A girl from my class had just gone missing for 48hrs after studying with a friend at my college...", I felt there is an urgent need to create this app, which utilises the effectiveness of SMS.
