The Buffy-fronted Seedeater is distributed in south-east

Brazil from Espírito Santo to Rio Grande do Sul and into

north-east Argentina.

Plumage varies with both sex and age but all birds

have two buffy wing-bars. Adult males have a pale

forecrown and a short whitish streak behind the eye.

The head tends to be greyish and the bill yellow
