The term ‘Kounday’ is referred to a specific type of Esaal e Thawab which is attributed to Imam Ja’afar Sadiq (Radi Allahu Anhu). Regarding this act to HARAM and BID’AH is an old way of Wahabis & Deobandis. But we Ahle Sunnah are of the opinion that it is absolutely JAIZ to offer such acts (if not taken as COMPULSORY).
