The application will be a game with a running tracker and motivator that, in order for the user to be really driven in running, is be gamified. The player will be given missions, whether it be main or side mission, in which they must run a set distance, time, or time limit in order to gain resources.The game will be a simulation and fitness category game due to the gameplay involved, such as running and obtaining, spending, and saving resources. It will be an offline single player game that sets the player as the main character. Other characters in the story will be introduced through the campaign in the game. It will have an original game design, such as the graphics, story, and sound of the game.
Since the study includes fitness application features, more specifically running distance and calorie tracker applications, the game will track and record daily runs while showing the daily average distance and the average time spent during the run based on how the player would want to view their average data. The game will process data that will be given in the form of the accelerometer and GPS. The player will have the choice in picking whether they want to use either of the two. The game will also be able to play the player’s music if the player wish it to be.
The setting of game will take place in the medieval period, being brought back in time and helping a town in becoming a kingdom by doing various missions. The goal of the player is to complete their mission given to them with specific criteria that they must accomplish during their runs. There will be many different kinds of missions based on the context of the requirements and be randomized based on algorithms that will create said randomized missions. Even though there are randomized missions, there will be a main storyline that the players can progress through, in the form of a fifteen mission long campaign, and only increase in the length of each run required.
The game will also have base building aspects in which the player can gain resources in the form of gold, food, and alliance points.
