Here is a fun and simple diy baby craft ideas you can make for your own baby or as a gift. Personalised boxes make a wonderful gift for a new baby. It is also a form of recycling as it uses an old wine cask or shoe box as well as photos that you may have been given.

You can buy readymade boxes from your diy baby craft ideas or stationary shop, but I prefer to use a wine cask as I like to recycle and the cardboard is really strong plus it is also a great size. Of course you will want to cover up the words on the box and photos are great for this as they are thick and prevent you from seeing the words on the box. You could however, cover the box in anything you like.

When you have finished covering the box put transparent adhesive over the top to protect your box and the photos. Shoe boxes are also great to use to make baby boxes out of.

These baby boxes are simple to make and have so many uses.

I use them:

• As book boxes.

• To store the DVD's that your baby enjoys the most. They are the perfect size.

• To keep your baby's smaller toys in, like their plastic animals.

• For your baby's tummy time. When my son Jamie was a baby, I decorated a box with photos of his family and sat it in front of him. I would turn the box around so he could see the photos of us and talk to him about each of the people in the photo.
