This application participating was developed for a study of mobile video data by T. Johnson and C. Sulisz with Prof. P. Seeling in the Wireless and Multimedia Networking group within the Department of Computer Science at Central Michigan University.
This application will scan your phone for movie (video) files and gather statistical properties of those files found. No personal data or actual video content will be evaluated. You will see a brief preview of the data that we collect after the scanning is complete. We finally ask you to submit the collected data to our servers for further analysis.
Please note that the scanning activity requires a lot of CPU power and will have significant impacts on your device performance and battery consumption while running. Please use with discretion (and preferably while charging). We recommend to run the program over night when the mobile device is plugged in.
