Course d'Orientation RK

In orienteering, in assessing the performance of a counselor, the kilometer rate is used (RK). This is the time taken to travel one kilometer.

The calculation of the RK takes into account the altitude of the course.

More RK value is low, the better the rider is oriented.

The goal is to lower the RK, including playing on the card reading time, reading the environment and route choice.

A color code allows the counselor to know his level on the course made according to the difficult terrain.

Additional indicator: the difference between the RK performed during a tour and said RK "footing". More Pathfinder is near its RK "jogging", the more effective in its map reading and route choice.
