A stopwatch is a hand-held watch designed to measure the amount of time elapsed from a particular point in time when it is activated when time is turned off. A large digital version of a chronograph designed to be viewed at a distance, as in a sports stadium, is called a stopwatch. In manual timing, the clock is started and stopped by a person pressing a button. In fully automatic timing, both start and stop are activated automatically, by means of a sensor.
