ColorClock is a unique clock that turns time into color. Every second of the day has its own unique RGB color — making ColorClock both a timepiece and a living color palette. It can run on an old cell phone without SIM card.
Once a particular nice color appears, you can share the clockface with a friend. The RGB values will be added for a future design of your own.
HOW IT WORKS
The clock face changes color continuously throughout the day. Red indicates the hours, Green the minutes, and Blue the seconds. Values run from 0 (dark) to 255 (bright) — just like in design software.
For example it is 8.40 and 20 seconds. 8 hours is one third of 24 hours, so red will be one third of 255. 40 minutes is two thirds of 60, so green will be two thirds of 255. And 20 seconds is one third of 60, so blue will be one third of 255, so 85. But wait, one second later blue will be 89!
Once you get the feel for it, you'll start reading time in color.
COLOR SCHEMES
Switch between six color schemes: RGB, RBG, GRB, GBR, BRG and BGR. Each scheme assigns the three color channels to hours, minutes and seconds in a different order — producing a completely different color palette for the same moment in time.
