Salonsense Media is a point-of-sale advertising system designed to assist salon staff with presenting product information to customers. The screen rotates through images and info about salon membership programs, tanning products and specials – if a client has a question about a specific lotion, the staff simply scans the bottle and an image of it, a list of ingredients and various selling points appear on the screen to help explain it.

This digital content management system, Generate, provides salon owners the ability to plan out their marketing schedule by day, week, or month simply by browsing, configuring, scheduling, and deploying the content in the easy-to-use system. This will allow the program to live up to its name … by helping you and your staff generate more retail sales revenue!

Generate features several evolutions from the company’s original digital signage system, which is already popular in tanning salons across the country. “One of the most exciting features is our Playlist Editor,” Gangon said. “This gives you the ability to add, remove and re-order ADS from your library for each of your locations with and easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface. This function also works with playlists – simply drag-and-drop the content you want onto the days you want them to play. This allows salon owners the option of spicing up their display by showing different content each day, or specific ads on specific days. It’s all configurable by you!”

Salon owners will be happy to hear that Generate is loaded with many exciting features. “You can upload and search all available content, and it has the ability to create customized ads for your specific sales campaigns using your material plus the added benefit of our database of over 900 lotions, brands and tanning units,” Gangon explained. “We’ve also added new templates to offer a choice of background color and animated themes, such as balloons and palm trees. You literally have more than 1,000 unique options!” Generate also allows users to update their membership levels, tanning units and lotion specials whenever they want, or select a daily, weekly or monthly featured product.

“We added Salonsense TV to one of our locations and, by the end of the year, our lotion-per-person average was the highest it’s ever been.
