Want to know more about the people near to you? Next2U is all about the people in your surroundings, wherever you go.

“Whisper” something – only the other users near to you will hear. Whenever two users get close enough, both will automatically receive a whisper from each other.

You need to have both Bluetooth and internet connection (3G or WiFi) on for the app to work!

Whispers are simply piece of text. What your Whispers are about, you can decide it freely! Be creative and let the others enjoy what you whisper about. But please watch your language and be polite to other users. You may choose yourself how what kind of name, whispers and profile picture you add to your profile! Feel free to stay anonymous or reveal your true name, whatever suits you.

Each time you come close enough the same user, you will exchange a new Whisper from your profiles. You can only receive as many whispers as you have shared yourself!

You can interact with the other N2U users in the following ways:

- The users you encounter will be automatically added to your collection, so you can view their info any time.

- You can Like the Whispers shared by others

- You can send in-app messages to the people you have collected

- The profile picture is exchanged only when you meet them face-to-face. To exchange the picture, play together a simple mini game (Face2face button).

N2U does not track or share your location explicitly. However, as it is based on Bluetooth sensing, the other nearby users will know that you have been close enough for catching the Bluetooth signal.

N2U is a research prototype developed in the department of Pervasive Computing at Tampere University of Technology. It is currently in extensive use only in Tampere, Finland and Brno, Czech Republic.

Data about the content of shared Whispers and the usage activity is collected for academic research purposes. All data is analyzed and reported anonymously. The life time of the app is limited and the registered users will be notified of this later on. More information about the app available in:
