Companies in the US spend almost $10 Billion each year in costs related to the damages, injuries, and litigation of distracted driving crashes. Texting while driving is especially problematic because of the development and repetition of bad phone habits behind the wheel.

The Solution

MOTOVATE™ is an app-supported incentive program, designed to increase awareness, improve driver behavior, and form new, healthy habits, while driving. It rewires the bad habit of checking your phone, and replaces it with the good habit of paying attention to the road (and getting rewarded for it!). It can also be set up to improve some basic driving behaviors like hard-braking and speeding.

When you drive with MOTOVATE, your phone’s notifications take a break, removing the major temptation of the “DING!”. The app then counts all the safe miles driven and allows you to cash them in for real rewards. In addition to the incentive or rewards, simply creating teams with family, or friends at school and in the office, offers motivation in the form of accountability and a healthy dose of competition.
