Powered by NOAA GOES-19 GLM satellite data, Lightning Tracker shows recent lightning flashes on a fast map, clusters active strikes into storm zones, and keeps the last update visible so you know when data is fresh. GOES-19 is strongest across the Americas, the Caribbean, the Atlantic and parts of western Europe. The app does not promise coverage everywhere.

Important coverage note
Lightning data comes from NOAA GOES-19 GLM. It is designed for supported coverage areas, especially the Americas and Atlantic region. Always follow official weather warnings and local safety guidance during severe weather.

New: choose lightning sources on the map. NOAA GLM and Meteosat Lightning Imager are both enabled by default, with filters for one source only. Also improved viewport storm loading and made the offline map indicator dismissible.
