About Temple:
Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Ladang Midlands (now known as Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Section 7, Shah Alam) was founded in the 1920s by estate workers of Ladang Midlands with the aid of their employer.
In the 1940s, the temple was in need for repair to accommodate the increasing number of visitors from time to time. In 1960, the position of this temple site had to be moved further from the main highway to give way for construction / expansion of the Klang-Kuala Lumpur Highway. The Federal and State Government have given financial assistance (provision) to bear the expenses of construction of this temple. Also with the help of residents and Mariamman devotees, the construction of new temple was completed in 1961 and the Kumbabishegam celebration was held successfully. Continue..
