What is Konverge:

Konverge is a location based app that streamlines and simplifies the entire process of meeting up. By combining the features of a meet-up/RSVP app with modern technology, we’ve been able to answer the common question of “Where is everyone?” when it comes to meeting up.

Here’s how it works:

1. Create an activity: Like a typical activity invite app, you create an activity along with the relevant details: date, time, location and invite your friends.

2. Leading up to the activity: you have the ability to view activity details, see who’s been invited, and what everyone’s response is.

3. Communicate: integrated group chat that allows you to chat with everyone that’s invited to an activity.

4. Location: here’s what sets our app apart from others. Once you start heading there, click the green start button to let others know that you are en route. You’ll be able to see how far away other guests are as well. Who has arrived? Who’s en route? Who’s running late?

Here are some ways people are using Konverge:

Happy Hour – Take a seat at the bar, grab a drink, and relax. You know when everyone else will arrive.

Workout – A quick cardio session sounds better than waiting awkwardly at the door if your friend is still 20 minutes away.

Surprise Birthday Party – Be ready when the guest of honor is just five minutes away. Set up a birthday activity and coordinate everyone’s arrival time.

BBQ – Instead of firing up the grill too early, you will be able to throw your steaks on at the perfect time by knowing your guests' ETA.

Study Session – Should you find a table and study for a bit, or stand in line and order coffee for both of you first because your friend is only two minutes away?

Brunch - Grab a table and order a mimosa. Your friends are still ten minutes away.

Golf – Set up a round of golf with your buddies. When it’s close to tee time, you’ll be able to know if everyone is on time and going to make the first tee box.

Basketball – Should you start a quick 3 on 3 with the people already there, or wait because four more people are only two minutes away?

Waiting to be picked up – It’s 5 degrees outside. Relax inside and come out when you are notified that your ride has arrived. Stay warm.

State fair – Set up a time to meet, and then use the map to help you find each other in the crowd.

Airport – Your flight lands at 5pm and your friend said he would pick you up from the airport. Instead of calling when you land, your friend will know that you’ve landed and you’ll know how far away he is simply by looking at the app.
