IPPA keeps the following as top priorities:
Producer Education - Provide producers with the knowledge and opportunities to be competitive and information they can use in their farm operations.
Production Research - Help find solutions to pork industry challenges and issues.
Public Policy - Represent producers on legislative issues at the state and national level.
Regulations - Provide producers with assistance in dealing with regulations and government agencies.
Association Services - Generate non-checkoff revenue and provide membership services to members.
Communication - Communicate with producers on issues that impact their farms as well as inform the general public about the pork industry.

Retail Marketing - Fact-based marketing and promotion, giving pork added value at the retail level. Key to this, is the National Pork Board's Demand Enhancement programming, charged with finding new ways to enhance the availability of the product (or points of distribution) and increase acceptablility of pork in the marketplace.
Foodservice Marketing - Increase the number of pork dishes menued in both commercial and noncommercial segments of the industry.
Health Professionals - Providing fact-based nutrient and health information to registered professionals. Promoting the use of pork as a lean meat, and an enhancement to a healthy diet.
Teacher Assistance - Initiating and continuing the use of agriculture as a key educational tool. Providing teachers with pork related learning materials.
Youth Programming - Educating today's youth of the opportunities available in agriculture and agri-business. Generating excitement and encouraging progress in the education of agriculture related careers and aspirations.
Consumer Information - Disseminating fact-based information to consumers on pork's versatility, tastiness, and nutrient information. Our focus additionally includes informing the Hispanic populations on pork's safety and versatility.
