System requirements:
- Android version 4.0 and later.
Required permissions:
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. Requires this permission to show SIM and telephony network information.
- ACCESS_WIFI_STATE. Requires this permission to show WiFi network information.
- CAMERA. Requires this permission to show camera information. DevInfo does not take any photos or videos.
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Requires this permission to detect external storage total and free space.
DevInfo uses these permissions with the strict purpose of displaying device-specific information.
This information will only be used for the purposes described above.
Known issues:
- Screen diagonal size calculation may show an incorrect value if the manufacturer encoded the wrong xdpi and ydpi values into the Android profile of the device.
- Camera capabilities may show incorrect information if the manufacturer encoded the wrong values into the the device.
- Battery charge rate may be reported incorrectly if the phone or tablet doesn't properly support the new battery API calls.
