Clearboard - Empty your clipboard automatically

Clearboard removes passwords, email addresses, URLs and other sensitive content from your clipboard automatically in regular intervals.

The app runs in the background and clears your clipboard content automatically every few seconds, minutes or hours.

The app offers a variety of configuration options, such as:

- showing a toast when the clipboard is cleared

- showing a permanent notification in the notification area

- conditional clear based on a regular expression (not available on newer Android versions)

- replacing of clipboard content with some text of your choice.

The app offers two different methods for clearing your clipboard so you can try which works best for your phone.

Manufacturer-specific battery optimization settings and Android version specific privacy related restrictions influence what features are available on your device.

That's why we let you test the app before you buy it. Try the app for free for three days. If it works for you, buy it. If not, uninstall it.

Even though the app does not consume a lot of battery, Android's battery optimization feature may kill the app after some time running in background. That's why we recommend to disable battery optimization for this app.

Newer Android versions (Android 10 and up) limits access to the user's clipboard in background. It's possible to overwrite clipboard contents, but it's not possible to get notified about changes or to read the clipboard's content.

According to Google Play policies its prohibited to ask users to disable battery optimization for an app. There are a few exceptions. One is if the "App's core function is scheduling automated actions" ("Task automation app"). This is clearly the case for this app.
