City Drifter was originally built for the developer because of his avid love of walking.
The purpose was to record the roads or trails visited so that planning to explore the unvisited roads or trails would be easier and more efficient.
Other travel modes to include are driving, biking, motorbiking, and even boating.
When the map page loads, it shows your current location and highlights each of the paths you have taken as sessions with arrows indicating your directions of travel. The paths are highlighted in different colors and thicknesses for each travel mode, so you can see all your travels.
The dashboard show a dropdown list of searchable sessions. Selecting a session shows the session's map with highlighted paths, as well as total distance and duration of the session. Also shown are lists of searchable countries, states, cities and roads visited.
Finally the app includes a settings and help menu to format look and feel of app, select language, set travel mode, and set if using kilometers or miles.
This app is intended not only for local exploration but overseas exploration as well, which is why it supports all languages. The app stores the data locally and automatically synchronizes user data to a dedicated server, so that any user can login on different devices to see all of his or her travels.
Thank You for choosing City Drifter, and Happy Drifting!
