The band is currently consisting of vocalist Robin Zander, guitarist Rick Nielsen, bassist Tom Petersson, and touring drummer Daxx Nielsen. Original drummer Bun E. Carlos stopped touring with the band in 2010 but remains a partner in their business organization.
Cheap Trick released their debut album in 1977 and first found success in Japan with the release of their second album, In Color, later that year. The band would not achieve mainstream popularity in the U.S. until 1979 with their breakthrough album Cheap Trick at Budokan. Over the course of their career the band has experienced some of the most successful and consistently played over 5,000 shows. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
