About Cargo Control Simulator

Authentic liquid cargo simulator for maritime students, deck officers and for you

Cargo Control Simulator puts you in charge of the cargo deck of an oil and chemical tanker. Plan the stowage, line up the manifold, run the pumps and valves, handle the ballast and keep the ship stable from the first drop of cargo to the last.

It is built for maritime students, deck cadets and junior officers who want to understand how cargo operations really work, and for anyone curious about life on a tanker.

GUIDED FROM DAY ONE

Step-by-step tutorials walk you through a full loading and a full discharge. The Chief Officer highlights every valve, pump and control you need, so you learn the order of operations before you are on your own.

CAREER: 30 STAGES

Work through 15 voyages, each with a loading stage and a discharge stage. Every voyage adds something new: different cargo grades, higher rates, berth draft limits and multi-grade parcels that must be kept apart. Earn up to three stars on each stage.

STOWAGE PLAN

Decide how much cargo goes into each tank. As you plan, the live 3D ship shows the final draft, trim, list, GM, bending moment and shear force. Set the final ballast, check the limits and only then move on.

LINE-UP AND MANIFOLD

Connect the shore to your tanks the way you choose:

• Single tanks linked with hoses, or one common line for the whole grade

• Reducers for hoses that do not match the manifold

• Pants pieces to split the shore line for high loading rates

• Segregation checks so incompatible grades never meet

LOADING AND DISCHARGING

Open drop, discharge and collector valves, start the cargo pumps and control the flow. Line and manifold pressures, flow rates and tank levels react to every action. Watch the high level alarms, keep the manifold below its limit and strip the tanks at the end of discharge.

BALLAST AND BWTS

Two ballast pumps, sea chest and overboard valves, and a crossover between port and starboard lines. Start the ballast water treatment system before you pump, deballast while loading and take ballast in while discharging to keep her upright and within draft.

STABILITY IN 3D

See the ship in 3D with liquid levels in every tank. Follow G, B and M as they move, check list and trim, and look at shear force and bending moment along the hull.

15 CARGO GRADES

Crude oils, gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, fuel oil, chemicals and vegetable oils, each with its own density and temperature behaviour. The same volume gives a different tonnage, just like on board.

REALISTIC CONSEQUENCES

Overfill a tank, overpressure the manifold, run a pump against a closed valve or let the ship go out of her limits, and the operation stops. The result screen shows what happened and how to avoid it next time.

RANDOM OPERATIONS

Once you know the basics, take on random loading and discharge scenarios with unknown starting conditions and targets.

FEATURES

• Guided loading and discharge tutorials

• 30-stage career over 15 voyages with star ratings

• Stowage planning with live draft, trim, list, GM, BM and SF

• Hose, reducer, pants piece and common line line-up

• Cargo pumps, valves, pressures and flow rates

• Ballast pumps, crossover and BWTS

• 3D ship with tank levels and stability view

• 15 cargo grades with realistic densities

• Time acceleration to speed up long operations

Cargo Control Simulator is a training aid for learning and practice. It does not replace official training, company procedures or the ship's own cargo and stability documents, and it must not be used for real vessel operations.
