buster7 is a client application designed for developers to run and manage multiple CLI coding agents (such as Claude Code and Codex) side by side on their Mac.
[Prerequisites]
This mobile app does not function on its own. It requires a companion Rust server running on your own Mac.
[Key Features]
- Persistent Sessions: Sessions are maintained on the server. Agent tasks continue running even if the app is closed or network connection drops.
- Multi-Device Access: Join and view the same session from both your Mac and your smartphone.
- Board View: Monitor active, waiting, and finished agents in a Kanban-style layout.
- Dual View: Inspect each session through two views: raw CLI TUI ("Terminal") and structured messages ("Chat").
- Tab Management: One session per tab, with confirmation dialogs when closing.
- File Integration: Tap file paths shown in terminal logs to open them. A file list is also available.
- Adaptive UI: Panes adjust automatically based on screen size, supporting both touch and mouse interactions.
- Notifications: Receive alerts when an agent is waiting for user input or finishes its task.
- CLI and MCP Support: Compatible with the b7 CLI command and 21 MCP tools.
- Resource Efficient: Uses line buffers instead of full PTY processes (measured: 147 MB across 2 processes with 8 sessions).
- Free to use.
[Important Notes]
- No built-in AI models: Code generation and inference are performed entirely by your local CLI agents. buster7 does not autonomously direct agents or modify conversation content.
- Currently under development: Known issues remain with Japanese text input and certain terminal rendering behaviors.
- Supported platforms: macOS, iOS, and Android (Mac server required).
