Tiger Zinda Hai is a 2017 Hindi action thriller film co-written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.[5] The film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sajjad Delfrooz in leading roles, with Angad Bedi, Kumud Mishra, Nawab Shah, Girish Karnad and Paresh Rawal in supporting roles.[6][7] The film is the sequel to the 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger and the second installment of the Tiger film series,[8] and is based on the 2014 abduction of Indian nurses by ISIL.[9]

The first look of the poster was revealed by Salman Khan through his official Twitter account on 18 October 2017 on the occasion of Diwali.[10] The official trailer was released on 7 November.[11] The film was released on 22 December 2017.[12] With a budget of ₹2.1 billion (US$33 million),[2] it is the one of the most expensive Hindi film and one of the most expensive Indian films of all time. It has grossed more than ₹5.5 billion (US$86 million) at the box office,[3] becoming a major commercial success and one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. At the 63rd Filmfare Awards, Tom Struthers won the Filmfare Award for Best Action.[13]
