Resolve Note is a clean, simple notes app with serious privacy underneath. The home screen looks like a calm paper notebook: your notes as cards, a search bar and a + button. Everything else lives in the menu.
Every note is encrypted on your phone. You can lock the app, lock single notes with their own passwords, and sync between phones only if you want to, end to end encrypted.
WRITE
• Text notes and checklists.
• Formatting: headings, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, highlight, bullet and numbered lists, to-dos, quotes and code. Saved as plain Markdown.
• Photos in any note. They are resized, cleaned of location data and encrypted.
• Drawings with your finger in eight colours, with undo and redo.
• Twelve note colours, tuned for light and dark themes.
ORGANISE
• Pin important notes to the top.
• Labels and notebooks.
• Archive, and a Trash that keeps deleted notes for 7 days.
• Select many notes to pin, colour, label, move, lock, archive or delete them together.
• Search, filters, sorting, and a grid or list view.
REMIND
• Reminders for later today, tomorrow, next week or any date and time.
• Notifications can hide titles; locked notes never show theirs.
• A home-screen widget for a new note, checklist, drawing or search. It never shows note text.
SECURITY
• Everything is stored with AES-256-GCM. The key is protected by the Android Keystore.
• App lock with a PIN, a password, your fingerprint or face, or a YubiKey (NFC or USB, HMAC-SHA1 challenge-response). Use the YubiKey instead of your PIN, or require both.
• Auto-lock after a time you choose. Wrong PINs add a growing delay, and you can choose to erase everything after 10, 15 or 20 wrong tries.
• Lock one note or many. Use one password for several notes or a different password for each. Keys are made from your password with Argon2id.
• Block screenshots and screen recording, and hide the app in recent apps.
STORAGE AND SYNC
• Only on this phone: the default. Nothing leaves your phone.
• End-to-end encrypted sync: notes are encrypted on your phone with a key made from your passphrase before upload. The server stores only unreadable data, so not even the developer can read your notes. It can see a random account ID, how many encrypted items there are, their sizes and when they change.
• No e-mail or phone number needed. Your account is a random ID.
• A recovery key is shown at setup. If you lose both your passphrase and the recovery key, your synced notes cannot be recovered by anyone. That is how end-to-end encryption works.
• Use the default sync server or enter the address of your own.
BACKUP AND EXPORT
• One encrypted backup file with everything, sealed with a password you choose. Restore it on any phone.
• Export notes as Markdown or plain text, or share them to any app.
• Import text and Markdown files.
LOOK AND FEEL
• 106 themes: light, dark, AMOLED black, gradients and patterns, drawn as vectors so they stay sharp on any screen.
• 23 fonts, including Hindi fonts such as Noto Sans Devanagari, Hind, Mukta, Martel, Tiro Devanagari Hindi and Kalam, plus four text sizes.
• A detailed About section in English and Hindi.
LANGUAGES
• 133 languages, including all 22 scheduled languages of India. English is the default; change it in Settings → Language. Translations are machine-generated.
PRIVACY
No ads. No analytics. No trackers. No account needed. Works fully offline.
HONEST LIMITS
No app can promise it can never be hacked. Resolve Note uses standard, well-tested cryptography and keeps the keys on your phone, but a phone already infected with malware, or someone watching you type your PIN, can defeat any app. A long password is stronger than a short PIN.
