It's been more than 30 years since my dad Carlos Montesdeoca, the Montesdeoca behind The Union Restaurant at 10319 Venice Blvd. in Culver City, mortgaged his home to buy a little neighborhood Cuban restaurant in 1974 corner of Venice and Motor Avenue. (there is a surplus store there now) were my mom Isabel Montesdeoca , brother Ramon Gomez and my aunt Margo Falcon were the cooks. The restaurant was a sizzling success so they moved next door to 10319 Venice Boulevard a year later.

Besides our trademark roast pork (see our original Menus "1975"), My dad established this unique restaurant with a lot of experience and he vowed to treat every customer like a guest at his own home.

Today, as then, Havana Mania serves only the finest Cuban food, with only the finest ingredients used according to my mom's recipes.

Whatever the occasion, Havana Mania is the perfect spot to gather. And in remembrance to my dad I will continue his passion for great Cuban food and service.
