Black Friday was my favorite day of the year when I was a retail manager. I loved it. On days where I had to "close" (as in, come in later in the day to manage affairs and attempt to clean up the natural-disaster-ish mess that was the store), I'd actually come in hours early to hang out and witness the chaos. Look, when you're a retail manager, you're already clinically insane, so this shouldn't surprise you. Most retail managers attest to the fact that the busy shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas are amongst the most fun days to work.
