Pencil drawing is an interesting art, and even with a little artistic flair drawing with a pencil can be learned through practice. Like most things, "practice is perfect."

The first thing you want to do is get a pencil of drawing and paper. These can range from everyday pencils and whatever papers you have, to more technical drawing pencils and heavy-duty or textured drawing papers. It takes several experiments to find what tools you like for your own style and drawing techniques as you learn to draw. Professional type drawing pencils look like ordinary yellow pencils, but they are rated as the hardness and softness of the lead. You'll want to find 2-3 different pencils, each with slightly different hardness.
