- The maximum size tells you how big the largest block is in that line.

- The number of blocks indicates how many separate block groups appear in that line. Each group must be separated by at least one empty space (marked as X).

- As you mark blocks and Xs to satisfy the rules, the full picture of the matrix is revealed.
