The Barak Valley Secondary School,is an English Medium School with a motto To bring light into the darkness. The motto in itself signifies the role played by this establishment in this region.The school is run and managed by The Barak Valley Educational Development trust. situated at Karaikandi,Banskandi,Cachar,Assam.

The school was established in 2004 though the foundation stone was laid in 23rd.February 2003 by the-Late Maulana Tayyaib Kasimi ,Principal Darul-Uloom Baskandi along with our Chairman Janab Mohammad Abdur Rahman Choudhury IPS.(Retd. IGP) and in the presence of the Managing Director of the Trust Janab Badrur Rahman Choudhury in the sitting of the Trust. School management Committee is formed foor three year to look after the day to day activities and requirements of the school.

The school is affiliated to SEBA and is recognized and registered under the Director of Secondary Education,Kahilipara,Govt.of Assam.

The main objectives of this school is too shape & mould students into a good character and dynamic leader of tomorrow by imparting knowledge with sound scientific tempartment. To be precise to prepare leader who will help build the nation through its knowledge based skills & talents.

The school management welcomes every students and guardians without any discrimination of caste,creed,race and religion.
