This plugin requires ATAK and a CloudRF plan (free plans available).
📶
The SOOTHSAYER plugin enables radio operators to rapidly simulate accurate RF coverage. It can be used to design networks for different technologies or for live heat-maps of connected systems.
🌲⛰️🏢
Global data
The service uses global high resolution terrain, LiDAR, tree and buildings data with up to 2m accuracy in most countries.
🎯
Accurate
The modelling accuracy is field tested and calibrated to under 7dB RMSE in NLOS environments. Field test reports are published at CloudRF.com.
🚀
Fast
Our GPU accelerated service is the fastest on the market. With this plugin you can use a complex ITU model with multi-obstacle diffraction and clutter in several seconds.
📻📡
Radio Templates
Pre-defined system templates are included for:
5G base station, TETRA UHF portable, Airport RADAR, VHF radio, CUAS system, DMR VHF, LTE800 UE, LoRa gateway (Meshtastic), MANET L Band, MANET S Band, Marine VHF, Drone/UAS at 100m, WLAN sector antenna.
Account
We offer a free plan at https://cloudrf.com/plans
You can also use coupon playstoredemo with a Bronze CloudRF plan:

💡
How it works
This plugin is a client to the CloudRF API.
Users login to their account and then select a radio from their templates list.
System templates are provided for beginners and users can define custom templates which saves time and reduces error when it matters.
The radio can be placed upon the map by clicking the app icon and then coverage calculated by clicking the play button or dragging the radio.
Requests are sent to the API and a response returned as a layer or a link which is overlaid upon the map.
↔️
Links
Bi-directional links are modelled using either signal-to-noise (dB) or received power (dBm) units. Users can define levels and colours.
🟢
Coverage
A coverage heatmap is created according to the template's colour schema. The resolution of this can be adjusted to fit available bandwidth or device memory. Coverage for a single site or all sites can be modelled which integrates with ATAK's layer controls so you can show/hide/share layers.
🚓
Co-opt
Live coverage mapping is possible with the co-opt feature. If you can see CoT on the map you can task it with a template and have the coverage and links follow the markers wherever they move to.
🧭
Best Site Analysis
Using a GPU accelerated Monte-Carlo simulation, you can analyse a polygon to reveal the best site(s) for a radio. Useful for all systems and especially LEO satellite terminals requiring consistent coverage and counter drone (CUAS) sensors.
