When running on a positive-pressure treadmill like the "Alter-g", less energy is required. Professors at the University of Colorado determined an equation to adjust treadmill speed to match the effort of running a given speed on a standard treadmill.

After entering the treadmill speed in mph that you would like to match effort to and the percent of body weight that will be supported, clicking "Go" will display the speed and pace that should be used on the positive-pressure treadmill.
