Medical Phrasebook

The "Medical Phrasebook" app has been created as a proof of concept for a 2nd year Undergraduate Medical Assignment.

Right now it is still in the pre-alpha stage, so this app lacks many critical features, such as only supporting android phones in portrait mode. In the future, it will act as an intermediary for any language barriers between doctor and patient.

Features in this version:

Phrasebook mode - an organised list of phrases and their translations into Mandarin Chinese (simplified) and their romanized pinyin form.

Features that will be added in future updates (a to-do list):

Landscape and tablet support

Google text-to-speech support - speaks out the translation to the patient

In-depth analysis of translations and the context of their usage

Additional information such as possible answers to phrases

Support for more languages, including the international phonetic alphabet

Recording mode - an interactive session where sets of phrases are presented in succession (e.g. all the resp system review questions) and the answers chosen by the patient are saved for patient notes.
