Free Arts Newspaper. ArtWork is freely available throughout Scotland and into the North of England in arts outlets.

ArtWork, published without a break since 1983, aims to provide an independent forum for critical discussion of the arts in Scotland and the North of England.

Our writers have one remit: find out what is happening and tell the readers - even if the news is not good. While we welcome information and comment from any source, we pride ourselves on generating our own material, rather than serving up a diet of undigested press releases, whose impartiality might not always be guaranteed!

In addition, we maintain what we believe is by far the fullest Guide to what is taking place in the visual arts throughout Scotland and the North.

While we believe strongly in print, and ensuring copies of the paper are available throughout the North, at www.artwork.co.uk you will find current and past issues, with the Guide now searchable by artist name, location, activity, postcode, etc.

We also provide more digital materials to navigate to art venues, as well as, web-links to advertisers' materials online. The ArtWork Mobile is also available on Android-compatible smartphones
