AllAuth for your phone integrates with your computer to introduce a much greater level of security over traditional password managers.
Two-factor authentication for every login
Every password you generate on your computer is immediately encrypted with a random key. The encrypted data stays on the computer but the key is transferred to your phone. This key can only be retrieved again via a manual authorisation once when it is requested again from your computer.
Single device compromise protection
Due to AllAuth's unique key sharing system, should one of your devices be hacked or suffer any other kind of compromise, you do not risk losing everything as all your data is not stored in one location. By using as much protection available through multiple operating systems, the risk of total loss is far more reduced than using a regular password manager.
Remote backups
All your sensitive information is encrypted locally using passphrases only you know then backed up to our secure servers. But in order to maintain separate confidentiality of the backup data, you use two different backup passphrases. One exclusively for your phone and one just for your computer. Note: you should never enter your phone backup passphrase on your computer, and vice versa.
Getting started
If you do not already have an AllAuth account, go to https://allauthapp.com/download to download the app for your computer where you can setup your new account. Once complete, you will be provided with a QR image code to scan using your phone. This will automatically link your phone to your account. You are all set and ready to go.
