The Egyptian Holy Quran Radio is a radio station specialized in broadcasting the Noble Qur’an and Islamic programs. It began broadcasting its transmissions on March 25, 1964. Among its most famous readers are Abdel Basset Abdel Samad, Mustafa Ismail, Mahmoud Khalil al-Husari, Muhammad Rifaat, Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi and Mahmoud Ali al-Banna. It broadcasts on a frequency in Greater Cairo.
