There was posters for: convincing people to go to war, convincing people that they were winning the war, to show superiority against the enemies, buying bonds and more. The enemy was very important in propaganda, it was the easiest means of diverting public attention from genuine social and political problems at home.
Lubok is a Russian popular print, and some of the pictures were serialized, predecessors of the modern comic strip. During World War I, lubok informed Russians about events on the frontlines, bolstered morale, and served as propaganda against enemy combatants.
