Established with the aim of addressing the issues of HoH/D people Shruti is dedicated to be one of kind. The young hard of hearing and deafened founding members of this organization have faced the problem of being unheard even today. In order to eliminate such situation for future and current HoH/Dpeople we have started this movement based on the belief that our society should be comprehensive, inclusive and without communication barriers. We are determined to set our footprints as the pioneer organization solely focused on addressing the issues of HoH/D people.Established with the aim of addressing the issues of HoH and Deafened people this organization is dedicated to be one of kind. Activities Of Shruti

1.Organized Ear Camp with collaboration with Grande International Hospital

Organizing free ear camp with hearing assessment to the communities with cooperation of Hospitals – Regular Activity.

2.Advocacy on New Constitution on Rights of Hard of Hearing and Deafened People of Nepal

Continuously advocating to incorporate hard of hearing as a disability for getting free education and accessibility rights in constitution and policy in law of Nepal.

3.Awareness program in schools with support of DDP

Organized awareness program on hearing disability for teachers in 13 mainstream schools of Kathmandu, supported by Disability Development Partner (DDP), UK (July-September 2015).

4.SHRUTI organized a basic training on UNCRPD

SHRUTI (National Association of Hard of hearing and Deafened Nepal) organized a basic training on UNCRPD (Convention Rights on Persons with Disability) with support of DHRC (Disable Human Rights Centre) in its secretariat office at Chuchepati, Kathmandu, Nepal. The program was targeted to train active members of SHRUTI to aware them about Rights of people with disability. All trainees were with hearing loss (mostly Hard of hearing and Deafened). And to make the communication accessible, CART was provided first time in the history of Nepal.
