AppeaR is an artproject and application made by Andreas Öhman for the exhibition Klorofyll og kapital at Akershus Kunstsenter, Lillestrøm (NO). AppeaR function as a tool for you to see Öhman’s sculptures located in the city,
hidden within his digital printed paintings.
When you are in play mode, and aim your phone towards one of the digital paintings mounted in Lillestrøm, you will see a sculpture appear. All sculptures are hand made, then scanned with photogrammetry, and made digital. The physical prints trigger the sculptures to appear.
The first version of AppeaR was launched for
Skulpturbiennalen at Vigelands Museet in Oslo, 2017.
