Many displaced people arrive to European countries with no knowledge of European languages. Volunteers from different organizations and foster homes all around Europe are ready to help them cover their first needs, but find great difficulties in communicating with newcomers as they do not know their mother tongues.
VENTO.TV and Fundación Al Fanar work together in this project to offer a free solution that help to reduce communication problems thanks to the generous collaboration of multilingual citizens all around the world.
VENTO.TV/refugees puts at the disposal of volunteers a simple and immediate communication system through video call that allows them to connect with multilingual speakers that can act as non-official translators in those moments in which they are available to translate live.
VENTO.TV commercializes a solution that makes it possible to establish a direct and immediate video call from a PC or smartphone in a very simple form. Our commercial proposal includes from interactive online selling options to remote assistance. Due to the emergency situation that hundreds of thousands of displaced people experience in the world, we try to do our bit by putting at the disposal of this population our technology to help diminish one aspect of the many difficulties they are facing: communication problems due to the idiomatic barriers.
For the last 15 years the Fundación Al Fanar para el Conocimiento Árabe (Al-Fanar Foundation for Arab Knowledge), has been working to bring the Arab world closer to Western societies. The objective is to facilitate the communication and the exchange of information from and to the Arab World. Al Fanar’s team obtains a full and accurate knowledge of this reality, by analyzing Arab media and other sources. Either through the translation or the production of own written reports and projects Al Fanar bring all this knowledge to the Western societies to reverse stereotypes and misunderstanding about the Arab World.
