FitSurvivor is part of a research study to test a fitness program designed for teen and young adult cancer survivors ages 13 to 25. The app is a companion to the in-person program helping survivors get more active and fit. Researchers at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, invite local participants to join the study.
Key Features
• Sync activity data from FitBit
• Set daily step, weekly strength, and weekly cardio goals. See your progress and earn badges for meeting goals.
• Complete cardio and strength workouts designed for teen and young adult cancer survivors. Advance to new levels with more workouts completed.
• Connect with the FitSurvivor Coach and other survivors to support each other in meeting fitness goals.
• Learn about fitness and health tips.
Eligibility
To join this research study, you must:
• Be 13 to 25 years old
• Attend the in-person fitness program
• Have parental permission for ages 13 to 17
You cannot join this study if there is a medical reason you should not start an exercise program. Please check with your doctor before starting any exercise program.
