CarbonHero provides thoroughly researched climate data for a wide range of activities specific to your home country.

For example, it makes a big difference what you are serving for Christmas dinner (vegan, vegetarian, fish, turkey, meat), if and how far you travel over the holidays or how long your decorations and lights are up. Our calculator takes all this into account!

Your purchase will offset the carbon amount of your activity using accredited compensation projects. We only work with the most reliable and trustworthy providers from all around the world. We require independent certification of all our action projects and only accept the highest certification levels, for example the Gold Standard (supported by the WWF).

By offsetting your activity you reduce the damage that this activity is causing to the planet.

No. We believe that everyone is responsible for their own emissions.

You should try to reduce your emissions by e.g. buying locally sourced groceries or switch to green electricity, but some emissions can’t be easily avoided.

The offset purchases available in CarbonHero are intended for private use, they are sourced exclusively from the so called „Voluntary Market“ and each compensation certificate is invalidated as part of the service. This guarantees you that you make the positive impact on the planet you intend.
