The description of TimeBox@Work Work Time Keeper
Time Box @Work is the place to store information about your work time. It is designed for employees who are paid weekly or biweekly and who keep track of time in terms of hours or tenths of hours (one tenth of an hour equals six minutes). After entering start time, stop time and break times, the app will calculate the amount of time spent @Work and record it for later reference. It also shows the total amount of time recorded for each Pay Period.
Times can be recorded in five categories: @Work, Paid Time Off (PTO), Holiday, Off-site and Other. Times are recorded in a local database stored on the device. Reports can be generated for each time category to show how much time was recorded for that category on each day. The report also shows the total time recorded for that category for each year. For example, a report can be generated to show how much PTO time has been recorded for the current year.
The Enter Time Screen
The Enter Time Screen displays a list of all the pay periods for which time has been entered and the total amount of time for each pay period. To enter time for a particular pay period, tap and hold the pay period and that pay period will be displayed on the Pay Period Screen. If you want to jump directly to a particular day, tap the Add / Edit button and select the day from the calendar and that day will be displayed on the Edit Time Screen.
Tapping the Back button will return to the Home Screen.
The Pay Period Screen
The Pay Period Screen displays a list of all the days in the selected pay period, the total amount of time for each day as well as the total time for the pay period. To enter time for a particular day, tap and hold the day and that day will be displayed on the Edit Time Screen. To display the previous or the next pay period, tap the Previous or Next button and that pay period will be displayed.
Tapping the Back button will return to the Enter Time Screen.
The This Pay Period menu option on the Home Screen is a short cut that will display the Pay Period Screen for the current pay period.
The Edit Time Screen
The Edit Time Screen allows you to enter time for a particular day. If time has previously been entered for the selected day, it will be displayed. If there is no time entered for the day, the default times are displayed. (The default times can be set in the Default Times Options Screen described later.)
Time can be entered in one or more of five categories: @Work, PTO, Holiday, Off-site and Other. For the PTO, Holiday, Off-site and Other categories, simply tap the + to expand the desired category and enter the hours and tenths of hours for that category. For the @Work category, tap the + to expand the category and enter the start time, stop time and break times for the day and the number of hours will be calculated. Alternatively, you can enter the start time, break times and hours for the day and the stop time will be calculated.
After all the time has been entered, tapping the Save button will save the times to the database and return to the Pay Period Screen. Tapping the Cancel button will cancel the operation and nothing will be changed in the database. Tapping the Clear button will clear all the times from the screen but nothing will be changed in the database. If you want to delete this entry from the database, tap the Clear button and then the Save button. If there are no times entered on the screen when the Save button is tapped, the entry will be deleted from the database.
The Today menu option on the Home Screen is a short cut that will display the Edit Time Screen for the current date.
