Specify a pool of photos for PictaChron to use. Search Flickr, 500px, or Instagram (with login) for tagged photographs. Only photos with time and location data can be used, so not all images from these sites will be shown.
In many past cultures, hours were counted from sunrise to sunset, and the length of an hour varied from season to season. It is this view of time which PictaChron uses. So near sunset where ever you are, summer or winter, you should see photos taken near sunset. At your midnight you'll see pictures taken in the middle of the night. At midday you'll get pictures with short shadows, and long shadows in the afternoon.
Photographs marked as NSFW in 500px or not marked "safe" in Flickr are only included if their "NSFW" switch is on.
PictaChron only uses your Instagram login in order to be able to access Instagram search APIs. No personal data or relationships are being used.
PictaChronJr is a "lite", advertising-supported, version of the full PictaChron app currently available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The full PictaChron app does not have advertising, and allows including photos from your own albums. See http://TempusTuum.com for details.
